About the faculty
The faculty offers undergraduate course of MBBS with an aim of providing high-quality undergraduate medical education and producing medical graduates well equipped with the core competencies to serve the healthcare needs of the country and contribute to the advancement of medical field of the country.
The Faculty of Undergraduate Medicine, offering Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery, was formally established under the Khesar Gyalpo University of Medical Sciences of Bhutan on 13th of October 2023 by Honorable Prime minister Dasho Dr. Lotay Tshering.
The Faculty of Undergraduate Medicine is headed by the fouding Dean, Dr. Gyem Dorji supported by the first Deputy Deans of Student Affairs and Academic Affairs, Dr. Kipchu Tshering and Dr. Sonam Chhoden R.
